Stephanie Barclay

Stephanie is a freelance prop artist based in Vancouver. She graduated from Capilano University’s Technical Theatre Program, then continued her studies at the University of British Columbia, completing her degree in Production and Design for Theatre.

She has worked for every major theatre company in Vancouver, including The Arts Club Theatre Company, Bard on the Beach, Children’s Theatre of Richmond, Royal City Musical Theatre, Gateway Theatre, Align Theatre, Studio 58: Langara Collage and more.

With a rich background in theatre, Stephanie has made her way into the world of film. Most notably, she contributed to the special effects department in a film set to debut at the Sun Dance Film Festival in 2025. Alongside this, she has crafted specialty props including mascot suits, puppets, and more for various films, commercials and short films.

Stephanie is also a frequent contractor at the Flying Fox Prop Shop, building props and sets for films, TV shows, commercials and corporate projects. ​

Stephanie has contributed to numerous productions that have earned awards including accolades for Best Production. She received the Rising Star Internship Award from Theatre Under the Stars and the Mike Jarvis Memorial Scholarship from the Deep Cove Stage Society. In Stephanies second year at UBC, she received a scholarship for being in the top 5% of students.
